Our contributions thus far.

Thanks to the generous donations of our supporters in the Newberry community and beyond, CREATE Newberry has had the opportunity to provide new art experiences to hundreds of students of all ages. Among them have been over $10,000 in scholarships and community projects such as the Haven Mural Project, and $4,101 to support small artists teaching at NAC’s annual summer camps. CREATE Newberry has also supported the City of Newberry by providing access to initial architectural drawings for the renovation of the Newberry Observer Building, which is projected to become the new location for the Newberry Arts Center in late 2025. As of September 2024, CREATE Newberry has used a total of $44,013.99 to benefit the community.

Our Impact

CREATE Newberry believes in supporting the Newberry Arts Center because of the enhanced quality of life it brings to the people of our community. Here are a few stories that show our impact in the local community:

My Little Nook

"I was a new empty-nester," shared Sonia Lopez. "My youngest had just gotten married, I am divorced, and I was planning to move to a new town in February of 2020." Sonia loved art as a child, but working full time as a nurse for 30 years and raising her children left no time for creating.
