CREATE Newberry support programs of the Newberry Arts Center like:
● Scholarships for participation in afterschool programs and summer camps for children and youth and classes and workshops for adults
● Arts in the Park and other free public art events for children and families
● Annual clay conference, the only one of its kind in South Carolina
● Partnerships with schools district and arts educators

The mission of CREATE Newberry is to work with partners to provide sustainable support that will ensure the growth and appreciation of the arts through the programs and services of the Newberry Arts Center.

Our vision is to create arts experiences which bring together the diverse populations of the greater Newberry community and enhance quality of life.

CREATE, Newberry, Inc. is a nonprofit organization under section 501(c)(3) of federal tax law (#85-1035631) that was incorporated in late 2020 to support the growth and expansion of the Newberry Arts Center (NAC). CREATE was formed with support from the South Carolina Arts Commission’s Arts of Community: Rural SC grant under the direction of the NAC Program Director, Marquerite Palmer. The Newberry Arts Center was established in 2014 and is a division of the City of Newberry Parks, Recreation, and Tourism Department. As such, it is important for CREATE Newberry, Inc. to maintain a collaborative relationship with the City of Newberry. City Administration/PRT designees and the NAC program director serve as ex officio, non-voting advisors to the board of directors.
